Good hot sauce but not as hot as advertised

I will start by saying that I like this hot sauce and think it is well balanced but it is not as hot as advertised. It is described as being a 12/10 for heat and the hottest sauce that Angry Goat sells but I would rate it more a 5/10. At first taste it has a warm heat but that quickly dissipates and it doesn’t have a lasting heat. A sauce I would call a 12/10 might be Dave’s Gourmet Insanity sauce where I have to carefully put a small drop on my food as it is HOT. This demon reaper is moderately hot and I find that I can put multiple dabs of it on my food and it’s not overly hot at all. I recommend it but find Purple Hippo to be hotter and better tasting overall.

Thanks for the review on our Demon Reaper. Regarding the heat level, our scale is based on our own judgement, and do not compare our heat levels to other companies. Dave's Insanity is an extract based sauce, and ours in all natural. So, to compare the two is like comparing apples to oranges. - Jason
