Heartbreaking Dawns focuses on both flavor and heat to bring you 1841, the year Rev. Miles Bronson arrived amongst the Naga people, ending the practice of headhunting. This sauce features the infamous Bhut Jolokia Ghost Pepper, which comes alive within a blend of all-natural pear and apple flavors.
HEAT LEVEL: XXX HOT
Ingredients: Pears, Applesauce (apples, water), Apple Cider Vinegar, Water, Jolokia Peppers, Red Habanero Peppers, Onions, Carrots, Lime Juice, Sugar, Sea Salt, Garlic, Xanthan Gum, White Pepper.
NET WEIGHT: 5 FL OZ (148 mL)
This sauce isn't bad, but the flavor comes across as vinegar heavy for my tastes, and I can't really taste the pear/apple. I'd say it has a moderate heat. The biggest issue for me was texture. The pears and apple sauce seem to separate somewhat from the liquid, so it doesn't stick to hot wings very well. If you use this sauce to mix with things, you would probably enjoy it much more. I think it goes great on chicken tacos!
